Recently, we completed a custom Sonic-themed inflatable bounce house with a giant slide for a customer in Belarus. During the inflation test, we identified a small design issue that affected the appearance of one decorative element. After discussing the solution with the customer, we made the necessary adjustments, carried out a second inflation test, and received the customer’s approval before arranging shipment.
Customer Requirements and Custom Design
The customer wanted a large inflatable featuring the popular Sonic theme, combining a giant slide with a bounce area and interactive play elements. Based on the customer’s requirements, our design team created a detailed 3D rendering that clearly showed the overall layout, colors, decorative rings, and Sonic figures. After reviewing the design, the customer approved the rendering and production began.
First Inflation Test Revealed a Small Issue
Once production was completed, we carried out the first full inflation test as part of our standard quality control process.
During the inspection, we noticed that the Sonic figure at the top of the slide had one arm positioned too close to the decorative ring beside it. Because the two inflatable sections were touching, the arm could not inflate completely and appeared less full than expected.
Although the inflatable was structurally sound and safe to use, we believed the appearance could be improved before delivery.
Design Adjustment and Second Inflation Test
After identifying the issue, we immediately shared photos with the customer and explained the cause.
Following our discussion, both sides agreed that the best solution was to reduce the size of the decorative rings beside the Sonic figure, creating more space for the arm to inflate properly.
Our production team quickly completed the modification and performed a second inflation test. This time, the Sonic figure inflated correctly, the arm became fully rounded, and the overall appearance matched the original design much better.
The adjustment was simple, but it significantly improved the finished product’s visual quality.
Customer Confirmed Satisfaction
After the second inflation test, we sent the updated photos and videos to the customer for confirmation, along with screenshots explaining the modification.
The customer was satisfied with both the improvement and our proactive communication throughout the process. Rather than shipping the product immediately after production, we chose to identify the issue, propose a solution, make the modification, and verify the result before delivery.
